French cellist Timothée Berte-Renou was born in Cannes, France in April 1991. Timothée began the Cello under Charles Reneau at age six and seven years later graduated from the Nice National Conservatory. He pursued further studies with Daniel Grosgurin at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva, Switzerland where he won the Lalive Competition and a scholarship from the Hans Wilsdorf foundation.
In 2012 he was invited to study with famed cellist Emilio Colón at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and  performed as principal cello for the University’s orchestra while holding principal chair with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.
Timothée has performed with world class musicians including the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico, member and jury with the Oregon Cello Society and a teaching artist with BRAVO Youth Orchestras. IMG_4103
